Cat's Hairballs

Hairballs are a problem mostly in longhaired cats. Hairballs developed by too much hair in stomach's cat from their grooming. The cats can avoid hairballs if they are brushed daily.

If they still develop hairballs, they should be taken to the vet.

Cat meows excessively as if it is singing?



Cat meows because that is how it was trained to get what it wants--food, attention and affection.

Then it becomes a habit so it meows all day without any reason at all.

Sometimes it mewos because of boredom.

So how are you going to make your cat stop its unnecessary meows?

1. play with the cat as you do your work like tie a plastic mouse, or whatever that it will make the cat run after it as you pull it infront of it.

2. do not give in to the meowing blackmail if it is not hungry or does not need anything important.

3. Teach it to become quiet by squirting some water in its face.

Cats learn by experience. To train the cat, we should make it feel pleasurable if we want it to adopt the habit or make it unpleasant when we do not want the cat to repeat what it did.

Take for instance, it hurt burned its paws when it touched the hot plate of the stove. It won't do that again.

If we continue scratching its tummy every time it meows, it is going to meow all the time when it wants the attention.
